Defined in the standard specifications of 4 state transportation agencies. Each definition below is the agency’s own text, with the section it comes from — they do not all say the same thing, and on a contract the difference is the point.
Definitions are quoted from state-authored public specification books. This page carries no I-Code-derived terms.
Revisions to the plans and/or proposal issued by the Department after the advertisement date but before the submission of the bid. Adjustment. Monetary revision that applies to a contract unit price or to the entire contract.
Section 101 — Terms, Format, and Definitions →A document issued by the Department after the advertisement and before the bid opening that modifies or supplements the proposal package and will become part of the contract. Advertisement. A public announcement inviting proposals. The advertisement will identify how to get a copy of the proposal package, how to submit a proposal, and the date, time, and pl ace of the bid opening.
