Project Limits
Defined in the standard specifications of 4 state transportation agencies. Each definition below is the agency’s own text, with the section it comes from — they do not all say the same thing, and on a contract the difference is the point.
Definitions are quoted from state-authored public specification books. This page carries no I-Code-derived terms.
That area between the Begin and End stations as shown on the plans and from Right-of-Way line to Right-of-Way line, unless otherwise noted on the plans. On projects with offset beginning/ending points of construction or Design-Build projects, the area is defined as the two most distant points of the Limits of Construction as indicated on the plans, from Right-of-Way line to Right-of-Way line.
