Dallas publishes no flat deck permit fee. Under Dallas City Code Chapter 52, section 303.2.1.1, work on a single-family or duplex structure is charged as a master permit computed from the total square footage of the area worked on: new work and additions use the New Single-Family and Duplex Construction table (Table A-I), and alterations or repairs use the flat per-dwelling-unit table (Table B-II). Dallas publishes no flat fence permit fee. Dallas City Code Chapter 52, section 303.2.2.1, makes a fence a separate trade permit, and section 303.5 sets no separate fence fee, so the charge falls to the alterations or repairs schedule that the fee schedule states includes standalone trade permits (Table B-I): the value of the work is multiplied by a bracket factor and then by 1.33, subject to a minimum permit fee. Where the fence is part of a larger single-family or duplex project, section 303.2.1.1 instead folds it into the square-footage-based master permit. A per-document technology fee applies.
