813.2.01 Pond Sand
Make pond sand exclusively of granular crushed stone fines, relatively free of silt balls, that meet these requirements: Gradation Sieve Size Percent Passing by Weight 4 in. (100 mm) 100 1-1/2 in. (37.5 mm) 90-100 No. 200 (75 µm) 0-35 Other Properties Maximum dry density 90 lb./ft.³ (1440 kg/m³) (minimum) Volume change 0-25%
