Art. 804.04 Electrical Service Installation - Lighting 682 (b) Underground Electric Service. (1) Ground Mounted Service. The ground mounted service shall be installed on a corrosion resistant pedestal or structure with a service disconnect switch, meter base (if required), and all appurtenances to complete the installation. (2) Pole Mounted Service. The service shall be installed on a 12 ft (3.7 m) wood pole on which the meter base (if required) and service disconnect switch shall be channel mounted.
