Art. 870.04 Fiber Optic Cable 728 (a) In Trench. The cable shall be installed according to Article 810.04 and according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, except plowing will not be allowed. (b) In Raceway. Raceways shall be cleaned and freed of rough spots by reaming or other methods approved by the Engineer. All raceways shall be swabbed and blown clean with compressed air. Lubricating compounds approved by the cable manufacturer shall be used to facilitate installation of the cable in raceways.
