1301 - MASONRY BRICK 1300 - 1 SECTION 1301 MASONRY BRICK 1301.1 DESCRIPTION This specification covers requirements for masonry brick for various types of construction. Supply masonry brick made from clay, shale, or a mixture of aggregates, water and portland cement. 1301.2 REQUIREMENTS a. Building Brick. ASTM C 62 defines the requirements for this type of brick, except “Maximum Water Absorption by Five-hour Boiling” and “Maximum Saturation Coefficient” does not apply.
