Section 1019 Geotextile Fabric and Geocomposite Systems 1019.01 GEOTEXTILE FABRIC. 1019.01.1 General Requirements: The geotextile fabric shall be composed of at least 85 percent by weight of polyolefins, polyesters, or polyamides. The geotextile fabric shall be resistant to chemical attack, rot and mildew and shall have no tears or defects which adversely alter its physical properties. When required, the geotextile fabric shall contain stabilizers and/or inhibitors added to the base material to make filaments resistant to deterioration due to ultraviolet and heat exposure.
