Use ductile iron pipe fittings and specials conforming to AWWA C110/A21.10 for standard size fittings or AWWA C153/A21.53 for compact fittings. Manufacture fittings with a cement mortar lining and a seal coat in accordance with AWWA C104/A21.4. Use pipe and fittings with either mechanical joints or push- on joints conforming to AWWA C111/A21.11.
