PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.1BLADES AND METAL FRAMES FOR HAND-SLIDE GATES
A.Zinc coated steel. Refer to and comply with AASHTO M 111.
2.2FRAME AND FLUSH BOTTOM CLOSURE
A.Carbon steel for frame and flush bottom according to ASTM A 36.
B.Galvanizing frame and flush bottom according to AASHTO M 111.
C.Galvanized fastener according to ASTM A 307.
D.Threaded carbon steel according to ASTM A 575.
E.Rubber seal for flush bottom according to ASTM D 2000, Grade AA 625 or
BC 610 to 615.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.1INSTALLATION
A.Hand-Slide Gate – Install according to the DB Series Standard Drawings.
B.Install the screw gate and frame according to the authorized shop
drawings so the gate opens and closes smoothly.
