MUTCD W15-1: Playground Sign
The W15-1 sign is covered in Section 2C.56 of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 11th Edition. Below are the provisions from that section that describe when the sign is used and how it is placed.
What it means and when it is used
- Option · Permitted (may)The Playground (W15-1) sign (see Figure 2C-15) may be used to give advance warning of a designated children’s playground that is located adjacent to the road.
- Option · Permitted (may)The Playground sign may have a fluorescent yellow-green background with a black legend and border.
