Bridgeport does not require a permit for a shed.
Under Connecticut State Building Code Section 105.2, as posted on the City's Work Exempt from Building Permits page, a detached one-story accessory building such as a storage shed or playhouse is exempt from the building permit requirement when its floor area is 200 square feet or smaller; a larger shed needs a building permit.
