Irving requires a permit for a shed.
Under the City's 2024 International Residential Code Amendments to Section R105.2, a building permit is not required for a one-story detached accessory structure, other than a storm shelter, that does not exceed 6 feet in any dimension, including height measured from adjacent grade to the highest point of the roof.
