Do you need a permit?
Layton requires a permit for a shed.
A permit is required for all accessory structures regardless of size and must be applied for online. Building permits are required for all sheds larger than 200 square feet; accessory structures 200 square feet or less are handled under the separate Accessory Structure Permit Review handout from Planning and Zoning. All sheds must meet the required setbacks.
