Bridge

A structure, including supports, erected over a depression or an obstruction, such as water, highway, or railroad, and having a track or passageway for carrying traffic or other moving loads and having a length measured along the center of roadway of more than 20 feet between undercopings of abutments or extreme ends of openings for multiple boxes.

A structure, including supports, erected over a depression or over an obstruction such as water, highway or railway, or for elevated roadway, for carrying traffic or other moving loads, and having a length, measured along the center of the roadway, of more than 20 feet between the inside faces of end supports. A multiple -span box culvert is considered a bridge, where the length between the extreme ends of the openings exceeds 20 feet.

A structure, including supports, constructed over a depression or obstruction (e.g., water, highway, railway), and having a track or passageway to carry traffic or other moving loads and a length more than 20 feet measured along the center of the traveled way or railroad between abutment undercopings or extreme ends of openings for multiple boxes.

A structure, including supports, erected over a depression or an obstruction, such as water, highway, or railway, which has a track or passageway for carrying traffic or other moving loads, and having an opening measured along the center of the roadway of more than twenty feet between undercopings of abutments, spring lines of arches, or extreme ends of openings for multiple boxes. A bridge may include multiple pipes where the clear distan ce between openings is less than one -half the smaller contiguous opening. Bridge Length: The greater dimension of a structure measured along the center of the roadway between backs of abutment backwalls or between ends of bridge floor. Bridge Roadway Width: The clear width of structure measured at right angles to the center of the roadway between the bottom of curbs or if curbs are not used, between the inner faces of parapet or railing.

Structure, including supports, built over a depression, watercourse, highway, railroad, or other obstruction with a clear span of at least 20 feet measured along the center of roadway.

As provided by RSA 234:2, a structure having a clear span of 10 ft. or more measured along the center line of the roadway at the elevation of the bridge seats, spanning a water course or other opening or obstruction.

A Structure having a length — as measured along the center of the Roadway — of more than 20 ft between undercopings of abutments or extreme en ds of openings for multiple boxes or extreme ends of openings for Culverts placed in series with a spacing between Culverts not exceeding ½ the diameter, and carr ying a pathway or

A structure, including supports, erected over a depression or an obstruction, such as water, a highway, or railway, and having a track or passageway for carrying traffic or other moving loads and having an opening measured along the center of roadway of mo re than 6 m (20 ft) between undercopings of abutments or spring lines of arches or extreme ends of openings for multiple boxes for multiple pipes. For multiple pipes to be measured the clear distance between openings shall be less than half of the smaller contiguous opening.

A structure erected over a stream, watercourse, highway, railroad or opening, for carrying traffic, having a length, measured along the centerline of the roadway, of more than 20 feet between the faces of end supports.
