Systemwide Station Design Standards Policy

PDFLos Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation AuthorityMRDC Rev 6 (2015)Heavy RailLight RailBusBRT

Policy establishing consistent station design criteria, layouts, materials and features.

About LA Metro: LA Metro operates the largest transit system in the western US: the B/D heavy-rail subway lines, four light-rail lines (A, C, E, K), the G and J bus rapid transit corridors, and one of the country's biggest bus networks. Capital work is designed to the Metro Rail Design Criteria (MRDC), a multi-section criteria set covering civil, structural, architectural, and systems disciplines, supplemented by systemwide station design policies.

Local terminology: LA Metro calls its design criteria "Metro Rail Design Criteria (MRDC)" β€” the label used throughout this page reflects that convention.
