Use blanket material that meets the requirements on the plans or in the Special Provisions. Ensure that plant topsoil meets the requirements of Subsection 893.2.01.

A. Remove Vegetation, Roots, and Trash Remove vegetation, roots, trash, or materials that hinder the preparation of a proper bed for grassing as a part of this Item. B. Plant Topsoil To reduce plant topsoil loss from erosion, place the soil shortly before and in conjunction with grassing operations, unless otherwise directed. After placing material, replace material lost from erosion at no additional expense to the Department.

218.4 Measurement

The quantity of material placed and accepted under this Item is measured in cubic yards (meters), loose measure, in the vehicles at the point of dumping.
