Section 1001 Portland Cement and Cementitious Materials 1001.01 PORTLAND CEMENT. Use portland cement from the Approved Materials List and comply with AASHTO M 85. Alkali content calculated as sodium oxide equivalent shall not exceed 0.60 percent by weight. 1001.02 BLENDED HYDRAULIC CEMENT. Use blended hydraulic cement Type IP, Type IS, or Type IL from the Approved Materials List and comply with AASHTO M 240.
