Immediately before placing the concrete slope protection , properly shape and firmly compact 11 the slope so it conforms to the required lines and grades. 12 Construct concrete slope protection in accordance with Section 420, except as otherwise 13 provided herein. Furnish and place reinforcement as shown in the plan s and in accordance with 14 Section 425. After placing th e concrete for one section, strike it off to plan grade and finish to 15 a dense and uniform surface. 16 Provide a reasonably smooth and uniform surface for the finished slope protection that does not 17 vary more than 1/2 inch in a distance of 10 feet. 18 Do not plac e backfill adjacent to concrete slope protection at any one end bent until each 19 individual section of concrete slope protection at the end bent cures for 3 or more curing days 20 in accordance with Subarticle 420- 15(A). P lace backfill no later than 5 calenda r days after the 21 last section of concrete slope protection placed at the end bent cures for 3 curing days. Compact 22 all backfill to a degree comparable to the adjacent undisturbed material. 23
462-4 Measurement and Payment 24
__" Slope Protection will be measured and paid as the actual number of square yards of slope 25 protection, measured along the top surface of the concrete slope protection , which is completed 26 and accepted. 27 The price and payment will be full compensation for all items required to provide slope 28 protection including , but not limited to, those items contained in Article 462 -1. 29 Payment will be made under: 30
