SECTION 684 (VACANT) SECTION 685 - EPOXY REFLECTORIZED PAVEMENT MARKINGS
685-1 DESCRIPTION. Furnish and apply epoxy reflectorized pavement markings at the thickness and
patterns specified and at locations indicated on the Contract Documents or as ordered by the Engineer, and in conformance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD ). For the purposes of this specification, the pavement surface may also refer to a bridge deck surface. Under this work, the Contractor shall furnish and apply epoxy reflectorized pavement markings at the location and in accordance wit h patterns indicated on the plans or as ordered by the Engineer, and in conformance with the MUTCD and these specifications. The epoxy marking material should be hot –applied by spray methods onto bituminous and portland cement concrete pavement surfaces at the thickness and width shown on the Contract Documents. Following an application of glass beads, the cured epoxy marking shall be an adherent reflectorized stripe.
685-2 MATERIALS. Materials shall conform to the following requirements:

685-3 Construction Details
685-3.01 General. Apply all pavement markings and patterns as shown on the Contract Documents and
in accordance with the MUTCD. Do not apply long line markings over longitudinal pavement joints.
