699.0 1 DESCRIPTION . This work shall be as specified in the Aviation Technical Specifications included

701.0 1 GENERA L REQUIREMENTS . Hydraulic cement shall meet the following general requirements :
a.Protection from Moisture . The Contractor shall provide suitable means for storing and protecting the cement against dampness. Cement which, for any reason, has become partially set or which contains lumps or is caked shall be rejected.
b.Storage of Different Brands and Types . Storage of hydraulic cement shall be by the brand, type, and mill. Cements of different brands and types or from different mills shall not be mixed.
701.0 2 PORTLAN D CEMENT . Portland cement shall meet the requirements of AASHTO M 85 , Type II
and ASTM C150, Type II, unless otherwise shown on the Plans or directed by the Engineer.
701.0 3 HIGH EARLY -STRENGT H PORTLAN D CEMENT . High early -strength Portland cement shall
meet the requirements of AASHTO M 85, Type III and ASTM C150, Type III .
701.0 4 PORTLAND -POZZOLA N CEMENT . Portland -pozzolan cem ent shall meet the requirements of
AASHTO M 240 and ASTM C595 , Type IP.
701.0 5 PORTLAND -LIMESTON E CEMENT . Portland -limestone cement shall meet the requirements
of AASHTO M 240 and ASTM C595 , Type IL.
701.0 6 PORTLAN D BLAST -FURNAC E SLAG CEMENT . Portland blast -furnace slag cement shall
meet the requirements of AASHTO M 240 and ASTM C595 , Type IS .
701.0 7 TERNAR Y BLENDE D CEMENT . Ternary blended cement shall meet the requirements of
AASHTO M 240 and ASTM C595 , Type IT .
