Re-roof permit checklist — Anchorage, Alaska
Assembled from Anchorage’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Anchorage requires a permit for a re-roof.
Repair or replacement of exterior wall coverings and roof coverings does not require a building permit where the total cost of the repair or replacement, using fair market value of materials and labor, does not exceed $5,000 (AMC 23.10.104.2.1, item T). Unless otherwise exempted by the code, separate plumbing, electrical and mechanical permits are required for the items on the building permit exemption list.
