Do you need a permit?
Gilbert requires a permit for a fence.
Fences not over three feet high are exempt from a building permit under amended Section R105.2 of the adopted residential code, as published in the Technical Codes of the Town of Gilbert - 2020 Edition. That same document exempts equipment screen walls not over 5 feet high that are not utilized as a perimeter or property line fence.
