Deck permit checklist — Anaheim, California
Assembled from Anaheim’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Anaheim requires a permit for a deck.
Information bulletin B804, When Is A Permit Required?, is the Building Division's list of work Anaheim allows without a permit. Walks, driveways and platforms appear on it, so long as they stand 30 inches or less above grade with no basement or occupied story beneath. Planning and Zoning should still confirm that the proposal satisfies every zoning regulation.
