Fresno requires a permit for a shed.
No building permit is needed for a one-story detached accessory structure of 120 square feet or less, accessory to a one- or two-family dwelling and used as a tool or storage shed, playhouse or similar use, provided it stays within a 12-foot height limit, sits where the Fresno Municipal Code requires and at least 3 feet from adjacent property lines, and is anchored against wind and earthquake displacement, with pressure-treated wood used wherever the structure meets soil or is embedded in concrete.
