Fence permit checklist — Overland Park, Kansas
Assembled from Overland Park’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Overland Park requires a permit for a fence.
A fence permit is not required if less than 50 percent of the length of an existing fence is being replaced and no changes are made to the fence size or materials. Under OPMC 18.110.245, fence sections 16 feet or less in cumulative horizontal length, 4 feet or less in height and unattached to a fence are considered a landscape element rather than a fence.
