Salt Lake City requires a permit for a shed.
Playhouses, sheds and similar uses under 200 square feet are exempt for residential uses (120 square feet for commercial uses); exempt sheds must still meet zoning setbacks, and a Certificate of Appropriateness is required in a Local Historic District.
