2108 GEOSYNTHETIC CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS 2108.1 DESCRIPTION This Work consists of providing and placing geosynthetics used for one or more of the following: (1) Separation of dissimilar or softer soils to prevent mixing, pumping, and contamination. (2) Provide stability during compaction. (3) Provide reinforcement and minimize differential movement. (4) Promote and enhance filtration and drainage in embankment.
