SECTION 845 — DRILLED SHAFTS — DRILLED SHAFTS 845.01 DESCRIPTION. The work includes the construction of steel cased, cast-in-place, concrete-filled, straight drilled shafts with steel reinforcement and the excavation, backfilling, dewatering, and disposal of obstructions encountered within the limits of the drilled shaft construction, at the required locations, lines and grades. The drilled shafts will be advanced into soil or bedrock to support the structure and design loads. 845.02 MATERIALS. Concrete.
