Do you need a permit?
Cincinnati requires a permit for a shed.
Permits are required for all residential sheds except sheds not greater than 100 square feet in total floor area, provided the shed is accessory to one-, two- and three-family dwellings regulated by the Residential Code of Ohio and is located in the rear yard in accordance with the Zoning Code, Section 1421.01. The same exemption in Cincinnati Building Code Section 1101-17.1(12) additionally limits it to sheds no higher than eight feet in height.
