Shed permit checklist — Arlington, Texas
Assembled from Arlington’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Arlington requires a permit for a shed.
A one-story detached accessory structure used as a tool and storage shed is exempt from permit provided the floor area does not exceed 100 sf (9.29 m2). If the shed has an exterior wall height of 8 ft or less, any approved material may be used. Exterior wall height is measured from the natural grade level.
