Grand Prairie requires a permit for a fence.
Another local deviation from the usual Texas IRC R105.2 approach: Grand Prairie publishes a flat fence permit fee for residential areas and lists fences as permit-required work, so there is no blanket 7-foot height exemption. Height, material and corner-visibility limits come from the Unified Development Code, and pool barrier fencing is always regulated.
