Do you need a permit?
San Antonio requires a permit for a fence.
A permit is not required for minor repairs to a fence not over 6 feet high, where replacement of up to 25 percent of the overall contiguous length is considered a minor repair. A permit is required to install a new fence or to repair or replace more than 25 percent of the length of an existing fence.
