Electrical work permit checklist — Kaysville, Utah

Assembled from Kaysville’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.

Do you need a permit?

Kaysville requires a permit for electrical work.

When a permit is not required

The Building Permits page requires a permit for any electrical work, and specifically for electrical service upgrades and most repairs, and for any electrical in a detached structure of any size. The city's electrical service upgrade application covers upgrades to a maximum of 200 amp; any service size larger than 200 amp must be addressed individually with the city. Credit is given for the existing service size and the additional size is charged per the consolidated fee schedule.
