Shed permit checklist — Omaha, Nebraska
Assembled from Omaha’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Omaha requires a permit for a shed.
An accessory building not larger than 75 square feet in floor area does not require a building permit. Exempt buildings must still comply with the zoning ordinance and other pertinent ordinances, and separate plumbing, electrical and mechanical permits are required unless otherwise exempted.
