Do you need a permit?
Omaha requires a permit for a water heater.
A permit is not required for minor repair work, which includes repairing or replacing a faucet or water closet without altering the plumbing system, removing and replacing traps or water closets to clear stoppages, minor repairs to water conditioning appliances, and minor repairs to lawn sprinkler systems. A property owner who does not hold a plumbing license, or that owner's employees, may perform minor repair work on the owner's own property without a permit.
