Do you need a permit?
Clark County requires a permit for electrical work.
Clark County Code section 22.02.200 sets the electrical exemptions. The most useful local one lets a single lighting circuit and/or a single power circuit serve a permit-exempt detached accessory building without its own electrical permit. Everything else — service changes, panel work beyond a same-size swap, new branch circuits, rewires — needs a permit. Clark County does make two residential and commercial electrical jobs available as instant Simple Online Permits: 'test and tag' and same-size panel replacement, both issued through the Citizen Access Portal without plan review.
