601.01 Description. This item shall consist of preparatory work
and operations, including, but not limited to, thos e necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and inc identals to the project site; for the establishment of the Contract or's offices, buildings, and other facilities necessary to undert ake the work on the project. This item shall also include other work and operati ons that must be performed, or for expenses incurred, before begi nning work on the various Contract items on the project site. It shall also include pre-construction costs which are necessary direct c osts to the project and are of a general nature rather than directly at tributable to other pay items under the Contract.
601.02 Measurement and Payment. Mobilization will be
measured as a complete unit and will be paid for at the contract lump sum price bid. In computing the allowable partial payments from the schedule below, the percentage of the original Contract earned will be based on all items exclusive of the item Mo bilization and any materials estimates paid. Payment for Mobilization at any of the listed stages of completion will be made on the bas is of the percentage of the item allowed less all payments ma de.
