SECTION 720 SMOOTHNESS TESTING 720.1-DESCRIPTION: To measure and evaluate the ride quality of pavement surfaces in accordance with the International Roughness Index (IRI), as well as the most recent forms of AASHTO R -56, AASHTO M328, and AASHTO R-57. 720.2-EQUIPMENT: 720.2.1-High-Speed or Low Speed Inertial Profiler: Provide a high-speed or low speed inertial profiler for measuring and evaluating the ride quality of pavement surfaces.
