Fence permit checklist — Las Vegas, Nevada

Assembled from Las Vegas’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.

Do you need a permit?

Las Vegas requires a permit for a fence.

When a permit is not required

Ornamental iron or wood fences up to seven feet tall do not require a permit, except for fences within the front setback of a single-family dwelling and fences that form part of a pool or spa barrier. A permit is required for a fence over 7 feet high and for a block wall more than 30 inches high.
