Re-roof permit checklist — Las Vegas, Nevada
Assembled from Las Vegas’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Las Vegas requires a permit for a re-roof.
Replacement of roof covering materials other than tile roofing does not require a permit when no structural components are repaired or replaced and no more than 64 square feet of roof sheathing is replaced. A permit is required to add new roofing or install new sheathing greater than 64 square feet, and when tile roofing is installed in place of or over an existing roof covering.
