Do you need a permit?
Amarillo does not require a permit for a shed.
Amarillo follows the standard IRC Section 105 exemption: one-story detached accessory structures used as tool and storage sheds, playhouses and similar uses are exempt from a building permit provided the floor area does not exceed 200 square feet. Sheds over 200 square feet, or any shed with electrical or plumbing run to it, do require a permit - and the zoning setback rules still apply even to an exempt shed.
