Electrical work permit checklist — Moreno Valley, California
Assembled from Moreno Valley’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Moreno Valley requires a permit for electrical work.
The city publishes no amended electrical exemption list, so the state exemptions in the adopted electrical code apply (portable equipment, listed cord-and-plug appliances, and like-for-like replacement of fixed motors or appliances of the same type and rating). New services, added panels and new circuits are all permitted work under the city's electrical fee tables.
