Moreno Valley does not require a permit for a shed.
Moreno Valley's permit FAQ states that a tool shed does not need a permit if the total floor area is less than 120 square feet - matching the state threshold. Above that, the structure is permitted as an accessory/utility (U occupancy) use and the fee schedule bands it at 500 sq ft or less and 501 sq ft or more.
