Electrical work gets nothing from the $7,500 residential exemption. Florida Statutes Section 553.79(1)(g), effective July 1, 2026, names electrical work among the categories excluded no matter the value, so the Port St. Lucie electrical permit requirement is untouched by it. The city has published no local guidance on the exemption.
