Fence permit checklist — Herriman, Utah
Assembled from Herriman’s own published permit rules. Every line below is quoted from a city document and linked to it. Nothing here is generated, estimated, or inferred from another jurisdiction.
Do you need a permit?
Herriman requires a permit for a fence.
A building permit is required only if the fence is taller than 7 feet. The City's fence page also summarizes zoning limits: front yard fencing is limited to four feet in height and side and rear yard fencing shall not exceed eight feet (Herriman City Code 10-21-3); no obstruction to view over three feet in height may be placed within the triangular clear-view area formed by twelve feet along the property line and twelve feet along a driveway or accessway line (Herriman City Code 10-21-46C).
