Do you need a permit?
Herriman requires a permit for a re-roof.
If only a layer of shingles is being added, no permit is required; a maximum of two layers is allowed. Removing all shingles down to the wood sheathing requires a building permit and inspections. Repairing roof damage or remodeling the roof requires a Remodel Building Permit and inspections.
