3166 ASPHALT FOR DAMPPROOFING AND WATERPROOFING 3166.1 SCOPE Provide asphalt for use as a mopping coat for dampproofing or as a plying or mopping cement in the construction of a membrane system of waterproofing. 3166.2 REQUIREMENTS Provide Type II asphalt meeting the requirements of ASTM D449, Standard Specification for Asphalt Used in Dampproofing and Waterproofing, unless otherwise required by the Contract. 3166.3 SAMPLING AND TESTING Provide samples at rates and sizes meeting the requirements of the Schedule of Materials Control or as required by the Contract Bituminous Products
