SECTION 409 SEAL COAT 409.01 DESCRIPTION Seal coat is the application of a bituminous material, covered with aggregate on an existing roadway surface. 409.01.1 Contract Time In cases where seal coat and pavement marking application are the only remaining items of work, contract time will be charged in accordance with Subsection 108.07.3 beginning the first working day following the July 4th (Independence Day) holiday.
