Do you need a permit?
North Las Vegas requires a permit for a re-roof.
The building permit exemptions in Section 15.72.140.D cover items such as detached accessory buildings at a single family dwelling with 200 square feet or less of floor area, fences up to six feet tall, retaining walls up to two feet tall, platforms, walks and driveways sitting 30 inches or less over grade, and surface finish work such as paint, wallpaper, paneling and floor coverings. Reroofing and roof covering replacement are not among the listed items.
